I graduated from my degree in June 2006, and studed BA hons Media Production at Northumbria University. My course involved Film, script writing, animation and film theory. I am adept at using editing facilities such as the industry standard Avid, and programs such as Animate and Velocity. I can use Rostrum animation cameras, film cameras, microphones and sound equipment. I can use both Macs and PCs to a high standard, and have a good working knowledge of them. Particularly editing and design programs. I achieved a first in my Media Technology module, which included website design. In the future, I intend to be eventually work within a production team for animated films. I have a particular interest in storytelling and character design.

I come from a fine art background and can paint, draw and illustrate to a good standard. I use mixed media within my animated films and am interested in textures and colours. My films explore subjects such as body and gender, and how it affects identity.

Work History;

June 2008 - Present - I've been working as a script writer for American studio NSNE.

January 2008 - Present - I've been doing freelance illustration commissions, including book cover designs and character visualisations for authors.

Febuary 2008 - July 2008 - I was working at Sitel, in the Sage campaign. I was in outbound sales, ensuring small businesses are using the correct accountancy software. I had to ask the right questions to assertion the customer's needs, in order for me to find the solution that's best for them.

November 2007 - May 2008- I worked as a part time journalist and illustrator, writing weekly articles and illustrating for Mali Elfman's 'LACityZine' based in Los Angeles.

October 2007 - January 2008 - I have spent three months traveling in California in the United States.

April 2007 - August 2007 - I worked for both Sitel and British Telecom, as a technical support officer. I advised customers and engineers how to troubleshoot and fix broadband connections and their BT Vision freeview box. I often had to liaison with other departments to solve customer problems, such as handling complaints and ordering replacement equipment. My job required a lot of knowledge and responsibility. It was my job to correctly diagnose an issue and resolve it.

August 2007 - I worked on a Film Four production 'Alex and her Arse Truck', as a Set Dresser and Assistant Production Designer. My duties included set dressing, prop design and management and assisting wardrobe. I dressed the film's sets using both my own initiative and design, and also working to the brief of the Production Designer and Director.

August 2006- December 2006 - '88' - Short film - I worked as the film's Production Designer and storyboarder for this short Irish film. My duties included storyboarding, concept design, graphic design of logos, set design, props and wardrobe. I was head of the art department and carried much responsibility for how the film would look.

August 2006 - I worked as administrative assistant for Icon. My job was to organise and file case studies and information relating to them. I was a personal Secretary to two managers there. I booked conferences for them, sorted mail and minded their calendars and their appointments. I also have done Temp receptionist posts through the Irish agency Select.

2006 - 'Mrs Friendly' - Short Film -
I created conceptual artwork for the film.

2006 - Student Short- 'Static' - Winner of the 'Mike Figgis award'. - I worked on the film as a concept artist and storyboarder.

2006 - Animated Student Short - 'Bearology' 'Bearology' was my graduate animated film. I wrote, directed and animated it. 'A woman living in an airport is taught by Polar Bears about the importance of love and mud.'

October 2005 - April 2006 - Her Majesties Revenue and Customs, Longbenton, England. I worked in administration. My main duties included trace and matching customers using our databases, updating customer accounts, post room duties and filling and sorting paperwork. I also trained numerous staff.

2005 - Animated Student Short - 'Submerge' - I directed an animated this mixed media short on the theme of being physiologically submerged. I experimented with paint on glass and texture.

2004 - Animated Student Short - 'Cafe Chic' - I directed and animated this short about a cafe using chickens to run their machines.

November 2004 - June 2005 I was employed by the Odeon Cinema, and involved me working on the front line with customers. I worked at various positions such as watching over the doors, cinema screens, tills and a food counter. I stood guard in the cinema screens, and watched for possible rowdy customers, often having to ask them to leave, or escort them off the premises.

2003 - Animated Student Short - 'She Dreams of Cocoons' - I directed and animated this mixed media short about the safety of living in cocoons.

2003 - Student Documentary Short; 'Sticks and Stones' - I was the producer and director of this short documentary of the life of a terminally ill artist and the art he creates in response to his bone degenerating disease.

2002 - 'Pandora's Aquarium' - www.pandys.org - I created designs for merchandise on a charity website; 'Welcome to Barbados'. The sale of the merchandise keeps the website's wonderful message board - 'Pandora's Aquarium', up and running.

2001 - 2004 I worked for the Inland Revenue, first with the New Tax Credits department, then with Pension department. New Tax Credits was very demanding, and involved a high volume of work that had to be completed to a high standard quickly. I have sound secretarial skills, and experience with inbound and outbound calls, organising paperwork and composing letters. I worked at position of Deputy Manager for a number of months. This involved me working closely with my team's manager, collating the team's statistics within numerous Excel documents and calculating them into daily and weekly 'PA's' (amount of work cases cleared based on the number of staff present). I managed the team's staff one day a week, and in my manager's frequent absence. I also attended daily meetings. From these I gained a sound knowledge of how a large company such as the Revenue operates.

2001 - 2003 I have done voluntary work at Barnardos, Newcastle, in which I led an interview panel for a new team leader for their Newcastle branch. I also attended a children's rights conference in London as a Barnardos representative.
